Yes, Beresford Arms Hotel. i shall do a photo update coz a picture speaks a thousand words.

Our pretty hotel room has a living room and a comfy sofa!!

Nice beds in the room. Two double beds.

Another double bed in the living room. Minrui sleeps here! :) Notice the dining table behind, on which in no time we set up all our lappies and look like some big-time hackers.

The bed hides behind the picture.. we just pull it down! Oh and there's books in the cabinet for Sirong to read.

The kitchen with stoves (and pots) and an oven (it's a built-in oven!!) and a full-size fridge! (Winnie took a photo of minrui cooking noodles. Let's see when she uploads it, if she ever does.)

Oh and did minrui say she hearts New York City? Now she thinks she hearts San Francisco more. Cos SF is so pretty! NY is pretty too, but it's more of a city kind of pretty. SF has a rustic feel, which minrui prefers. i ♥ SF! :))

OMG! no one is gonna believe this! beresford arms hotel is amazing! im like soooooo happy with our parlour suite!! it was a junior suite yesterday night but they upgraded us! we have a kitchen and minrui is cooking instant noodles for all of us ON A STOVE! omg lovely! =) and the toilet is freaking huge! 5 sets of everything. the are sooo good to us!! top notch service quality okayyy! lovely!

okay okay. we have been taking things very slow in san fran.. yesterday & today. shopping alot! haha.. winnie didnt buy much la, today & yesterday. haha. other days different. my luggage got problem with the lock. im aiming to buy the samsonite luggage seriously!! so pretty! black + lime green.

its 2am and im eating instant noodles! that explains why im 55kg! =(

golden gate bridge at night is pretty! i saw from afar! tmr must goooooo!! okay, why am i blogging like that? i need to sleep! its 2 freaking am winnie!! goodnight.

Journey to the West

It's 2.43am and i'm still packing my bag. We're leaving our dorm at 330am for the airport. Last day of work was nostalgic. And it's prototypical. Miss the bus when going to work, and run for bus when getting off work. How classic. Okay need to get back to packing. This post is so random. Just want to sneak a post before we leave. Heh.

Guess what?

Minrui missed the bus AGAIN. Boo. On her last day of work somemore. It's a slightly earlier bus, but minrui needs to get there earlier to return stuff, buy stuff, and take photos!! Argh, argh, argh. And there's a few rides minrui has yet to take. Rawrs. So i woke up early for nothing. Sighhhhhh.

And and and the point is, we were not late! We reached at the time when the bus was supposed to leave, but when we reached there's no sight of the bus. This happened for the previous time i missed the bus too. It's not coz i was late, but coz the bus left early!! Sighhhhhhh.

Anyway, this makes it the fifth time. Haha. Oh oh but one happy news is that, i've received my Bank of America precious moments debit card! Yayness. i've been waiting and waiting and waiting for the card to come. Every time i expectantly opened the mailbox, to find an empty space. Yeah, sad. And we sort of gave up hope, since we're already leaving. Yet it came!! On our last day!! (Coz we're leaving tonight in the wee hours/tomorrow early morning.)

This pretty much sums up our first two days in NYC. For the next two days', please be patient. i'm off to catch the next bus! Bubbyee.

California, here we come!

Whee~ it's minrui again! i'm finally back to blog coz a friend lent me keyboard! So now i can type properly and fast fast. Yayness.

Sorry to all whom i've been dao-ing (not replying or reply super duper slowly) on msn. Firstly coz my keyboard had (and is still having) problems and i type with many many letters missing and most importantly the spacebar doesn't work. Secondly i'm always doing other things while on msn like doing laundry, doing dishes, or discussing travel plans. So once again i apologize for being so difficult to talk to on msn.

Work became really really boring coz half the people left on sunday/monday and those who remained were on off on monday and tuesday. So on monday i was like suffering from monday blue and was super duper siannnnnnnn. Morale was at an all-time low. Tuesday was slightly better but still quite sian. i kept telling myself that it's my second last day of work so i should cheer up.

And then on wednesday we went to Virginia beach. It was pretty relaxing. We laid on the sand to sun ourselves, and then winnie and i spent like 2 hours strolling along the beach. So romantic! (Right, winnie?) After that we went for seafood buffet. THAT was hilarious. We were being true-blue sillyporeans with our "gian-peng" spirit. Will blog more about it next time or when winnie blogs about it. Then today i went on my final roam of Richmond. Tired!!

Tomorrow is my (and winnie's and sirong's for that matter) last day of work! Woohoo~ ORD! My first ORD!! Yayness. And then we'll be heading to California before heading back home. i'm missing char kuay teow (with cockles please). But before that.. California, here we comeeeeeeeeeeee~~~

haha, finally im updating!

work has been utterly crappy. winnie doesnt miss buses coz she choses to go to work late and winnie has flexible schedules thanks to cookie & bao nan. ;)

anyway, working with bao nan is like working with a time bomb. which sucks. and his biasness drives me up the wall sometimes. anyway no complains. 7 more daysss :) and GOODBYE KD!! GOODBYE!! cant wait to say goodbye. ive enough of sweeping patios, washing dishes, changing gloves, clocking in and out, getting crappy break times and end work times really. i seriously average 8hrs per day only while every other people gets 10-12hrs. ive enough of working already. 8hrs in yet im so fedup with it. cant imagine working 12hrs.

today is pretty sad coz its my last day working with belinda! ive worked a few times in the kitchen with her(although not many but i usually communicate with her when im frontline) really one of the nicest girls out there :) country kitchen has nice people but also very freaking annoying ones too. farewell belinda! i hope to see her again! its not her last day at work but i dont work tomorrow nor thursday, thats why.

the coke bao nan give us that day sucks. its damn gasy and not sweet. geez. i rather have my half chicken. i kop-ed. i had cold stone creamery again todayyy! hehe. 2 kids in 1. VERY GOOD! :D

i think i ate ALOT of icecream here really! fat fat winnie. yawnz.

oh yes. Washington DC was really nice :D i still want to visit 2 museums i missed out!! argh winnie!! i want my museums!! =( i guess i should say, DC, i will be back. and the metro at DC was sooo pretty!! i LOVE THE SUBWAY STATIONS!! NYC's subway was worse than crap seriously. and the people in NYC are worse than crap as well. DC rocks!! DC, I WILL BE BACK!

btw im sorry i had to change the layout. the dots are driving me nuts. i cant stand it any longerrr....

Once again

Rarrrrrr.. i miss the bus again. Sigh. And i have lost count this is the number what time i missed the bus.. Third? Or fourth? But this time round i went down to realise that i was still wearing my flip-flops, so i came back up to change into my booties. And when i went back down, i saw the bus driving off. i'm not alone this time though. There's others who looked at their watch and complained that it's only 0913 (and the bus is supposed to leave at 0915).

Anyway, we're back from DC. But we don't have the time and energy to update. We're either busy traveling or busy working. Tired!! 11 more days of work! Two weeks, and we'll be leaving for west coast. Give it another two weeks, and we'll be back in SG! :)
